Aura Folklore Museum
Branding
Case Study
As part of my sophomore year of VCD studies at Herron (spring 2017), the task was to develop the identity for a new (hypothetical) folklore museum opening in Juneau, Alaska. This museum would specialize on Alaskan folklore pertaining to the Aurora Borealis (the northern lights). The pursued concept takes inspiration from an old (and rather unique) Inuit belief that the Aurora Borealis was a game of ball played by the spirits of the dead using a walrus skull (for the ball).
Audience
Attendees of the museum as well as those with an interest in the Aurora Borealis and of Inuit folklore.
